Gurugram, Sep 5 (IANS) BJP state vice-president GL Sharma and party’s trade cell state convener Naveen Goyal have left the party along with their supporters after the party released its first list of 67 candidates for the Haryana assembly elections and their names were not included in it.
Sharma said, “There is only one person in the party who is distributing tickets. I have met Congress MP from Rohtak Deepender Hooda and will soon join the Congress without any promise.”
BJP has fielded Mukesh Sharma from Gurugram seat, while GL Shamra’s ticket has been cut. Naveen Goyal along with his supporters has resigned from all the party posts with immediate effect. Mukesh Sharma was declared the candidate from Gurugram assembly, after which Naveen Goyal announced to contest the election as an independent.
He said that this is the voice of the people of Gurugram. He said, “I have been serving the party since the beginning. For seven years, I worked day and night to serve the people of Gurugram and propagate the party’s policies, but the party ignored my services. The voters of Gurugram assembly constituency love me. On the voting day on October 5, the people will cast their votes in my favour.”
Let us tell you that the BJP released its first list of candidates on Wednesday evening for the Haryana Assembly elections to be held on October 5. The party has fielded Mukesh Sharma from the Gurugram seat in place of sitting MLA Sudhir Singla.
The party has announced tickets for 67 of the 90 seats, including three from Gurugram district, while two sitting MLAs – Kunwar Sanjay Singh from Sohna and Sudhir Singla from Gurugram – have not been given tickets.
The BJP has fielded former minister Rao Narbir Singh from Badshahpur seat, Mukesh Sharma from Gurgaon and former MLA Tejpal Tanwar from Sohna. A decision on Pataudi (SC reserve) is yet to be taken. Satya Prakash Jarawata is the sitting MLA from Pataudi seat.
Meanwhile, Congress is yet to release its list for the upcoming Haryana Assembly elections.
