Maharashtra Assembly Election 2024: Assembly elections are likely to be held in Maharashtra in October-November. Earlier, Union Home Minister Amit Shah held a meeting with Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and Ajit Pawar. Home Minister Amit Shah, who arrived in Maharashtra on a two-day visit, met CM Shinde, Devendra Fadnavis and Ajit Pawar at Sahyadri State Guest House. According to sources, in the meeting with the Home Minister, the response of the people to various government schemes before the assembly elections in Maharashtra was discussed in detail.
During the meeting, Home Minister Amit Shah said that if we are all in Mahayuti, then we should exercise restraint. We should take full care that we present an image of unity to the public. Only candidates who have the ability to win the assembly elections should be selected. He also said that we must keep responding to the fake narratives of the opponents. During the meeting, Amit Shah has instructed BJP leaders to stay away from public controversies.
During the meeting, Home Minister Amit Shah also mentioned the internal survey of BJP. Amit Shah also instructed BJP leaders to publicize the decisions and schemes taken by the government in public interest. He cautioned that the performance of some BJP MLAs was not found satisfactory in the survey. In such a situation, appropriate decisions should be taken regarding the seats during the upcoming assembly elections in Maharashtra.

On the second day of his two-day visit to Maharashtra, Home Minister Amit Shah reached the court of ‘Lalbaugcha Raja’ and duly performed Darshan-Pujan. He bowed before the huge statue of Lord Ganesha in the pandala. During this time, Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis were also present with him. It is noteworthy that Amit Shah definitely comes to Mumbai every year on the occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi to visit ‘Lalbaugcha Raja’.
