According to Vastu, the width of the stairs should be between one hand to three hands.
At the same time, the number of steps in the stairs should always be odd like 11,13,15,17 or 21.
It is not auspicious to construct stairs in the north-east corner.
In Vaastu, constructing stairs in the south-west direction of the house is considered auspicious.
In Vaastu, constructing a curved staircase is considered inauspicious.
