This heavy cat named Kroshik was fond of eating meat, whiskey, bread and soup, but now a campaign has started to make him fit.
According to the information, the Russian cat named Kroshik was abandoned by its owners at the animal hospital in Perm city of Russia due to its obesity, but the hospital was unable to treat it so now it is being treated at the rehabilitation center. Officials of this center named Matroskin Shelter say that Kroshik weighs 17 kg as compared to the normal cat’s weight of 4 to 5 kg.
Releasing the pictures of the cat on social media, he wrote that the cat is very sad after being abandoned by the owners, but it is following a diet to become slim. Currently, breakfast has been stopped for it. Kroshik, who earlier used to eat bread crackers, soup, whiskey and meat, has now started eating light food.
The giant-sized Kroshik is now on a special diet. The Matroskin shelter says this is an “extremely rare case.” Kroshik’s owner loved the cat so much that he overfed him, leaving him unable to move.
Officials say, “It’s true, she may be one of the fattest cats in the world. That’s why she has been kept in a rehabilitation center. She is being given special treatment with diet so that she can walk like a normal cat. To get healthy, the cat has been targeted to lose 70-150 grams of weight every week.
