There was a bomb blast at PM Modi’s rally in Patna.
In 2013, bomb blasts took place in Gandhi Maidan, Patna during the election rally of the then Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi. At that time Narendra Modi was the prime ministerial candidate from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). Now the Patna High Court has given a big verdict in this case. The High Court has changed the death sentence of four culprits of this incident to 30 years of imprisonment on Wednesday. The division bench headed by Justice Ashutosh Kumar has given this verdict.
Whose sentence was reduced?
The Patna High Court upheld the life imprisonment sentence awarded to two other convicts by the NIA special court. At the same time, the death sentence of four people was converted to 30 years imprisonment on Wednesday. Those whose sentence was reduced include Haider Ali, Noman Ansari, Mohammad Mujibulla Ansari and Imtiaz Alam. The life imprisonment sentence awarded to two other convicts Umar Siddiqui and Azharuddin Qureshi has been upheld.
What punishment did you receive earlier?
In the Gandhi Maidan bomb blast case in Patna, a special NIA court in November 2021 had sentenced four of the nine convicts in the case to death, two to life imprisonment, two to 10 years’ imprisonment and one to seven years’ imprisonment.

Let us tell you that during Narendra Modi’s Hunkar rally in 2013, there were six serial bomb blasts in Gandhi Maidan, Patna. The first blast took place at Patna Railway Station while the remaining blasts took place in and around Gandhi Maidan. Six people were killed and many others were injured in these blasts.
