According to the Panchang, Ekadashi fast is observed on the Ekadashi date of Shukla and Krishna Paksha of every month. Know what to do and what not to do on Ekadashi—
On the day of Parivartini Ekadashi, worship Lord Vishnu and Goddess Lakshmi in a proper manner. You can also fast on this day. Fruits and milk can be consumed during the fast. On the day of Ekadashi, do recite Lord Vishnu’s mantras, Chalisa and Sukta etc.
It is also good to listen or read the Vrat Katha on this day. Donating to the poor on this day pleases God. Apart from this, keep good thoughts in mind and help everyone, doing so is beneficial. Do not eat food even by mistake on the Parivartini Ekadashi Vrat, do not commit any kind of violence and avoid lying. On this day, one should not argue or quarrel, and should not use abusive language. The poor who come to the house should return empty-handed, but donate something to him.
