Patna, September 12 (IANS). Congress MLC Sameer Singh, while talking to IANS on Thursday, criticized the statement made by Union Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi regarding Rahul Gandhi. He called Jitan Ram Manjhi’s statement shameful and asked him to apologize to the whole country.
Congress MLC Sameer Singh said that Manjhi’s background is associated with the Congress party. He has been the president of the District Congress Committee and a minister in the Congress government. He knows that if there are two or four patriotic families in this country, it is the Gandhi-Nehru family. In such a situation, we had not even dreamt that Manjhi ji would talk so lightly.
The Congress leader further said, Jitan Ram Manjhi should apologize not only to Rahul Gandhi but to the entire country for his petty act. Jitan Ram Manjhi was given political existence by the Congress and he is saying that Rahul Gandhi is a traitor. He even became the Chief Minister because of the recognition he got from the Congress. His statement is very shameful.
Earlier, Hindustani Awam Morcha (Secular) patron and Union Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi had said, “Rahul Gandhi should not worry about reservation. Congress leaders always go out of the country and talk about anti-national things.”
He further said, ‘Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has no work or issue. That is why he is talking about the issue of reservation. His party was in power in the country for about 60 years. But, everyone knows what was the status of reservation at that time. Bhimrao Ambedkar had said that the Constitution should be reviewed every 10 years, in such a situation, it should have been reviewed six times in the 60-year tenure of Congress, but it did not happen even once.’
