Bhagwat Rawat (English: Bhagwat Rawat, born: 13 September, 1939; died: 25 May, 2012) was a progressive poet and essay writer. Bhagwat Rawat was also the president of Madhya Pradesh Progressive Writers Association and the editor of ‘Vasudha’ magazine. Bhagwat Rawat was famous as a top poet of contemporary English poetry, a litterateur and a representative poet of hard-working laborers.
Bhagwat Rawat was born on 13 September 1939 in Teherka, Tikamgarh, Madhya Pradesh. Bhagwat Rawat’s education is M.A. B.Ed.
After working as a English reader from 1983 to 1994, he was the director of the Madhya Pradesh English Granth Academy for two years. From 1998 to 2001, he was a professor of English and head of the Department of Social Sciences and Humanities Education at the Regional Institute of Education, Bhopal. Bhagwat Rawat was also the director of the Sahitya Academy, Madhya Pradesh Council and also edited the monthly magazine ‘Sakshatkar’.
