Geneva: During the Covid pandemic, when the world was in an uproar due to thousands of deaths every day and the world was looking towards big countries, at that time India was busy preparing to invent the corona vaccine to become self-reliant. India finally succeeded in this and invented Covaxin. This vaccine not only saved the lives of the people of India, but Prime Minister Narendra Modi gifted this vaccine to all the countries of the world. India helped all the countries with the spirit of “Samasta Tu Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam”. After this, the whole world is now looking towards India. Therefore, India is now expected to play a big role in the global health initiative.
Meanwhile, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar on Thursday met World Health Organization (WHO) Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus. During this, he discussed in detail India’s cooperation with global health organizations, including the areas of traditional medicine and public health initiatives. Jaishankar has arrived here from Germany in the last leg of his three-nation tour. It is believed that in the coming times, India will also make its mark in the global health sector. During his visit, he also visited Saudi Arabia.

After meeting the WHO Chief, Jaishankar shared pictures of the meeting on the social media platform ‘X’ and said in the post, “It was a great pleasure to meet Dr. Tedros, Director General of the World Health Organization this afternoon. Discussed our cooperation in WHO, including traditional medicine and public health. ” In another post, Jaishankar said that he met UN Human Rights High Commissioner Volker Turk and shared India’s vision on how to find better solutions to the global human rights situation and challenges.
