Brahmachari (1968)
Brahmachari is produced by GP and Ramesh Sippy, written by Sachin Bhowmick and directed by Bhappi Soni. The film stars Shammi Kapoor, Rajshree, Pran, Mumtaz, Jagdeep, Sachin and Asit Sen. Its soundtrack is by Shankar Jaikishan. The film was a financial success and won several awards including the Filmfare Best Movie Award.
Sita and Geeta (1972)
The comedy-drama film Sita Aur Geeta was written by Salim-Javed and directed by Ramesh Sippy. It has music by R.D. Burman and stars Hema Malini, Dharmendra and Sanjeev Kumar in the lead roles. The story focuses on identical twins played by Hema Malini who are separated at birth and develop different personalities in childhood. When they are adults they finally meet each other and switch places. Dharmendra and Sanjeev Kumar played two sisters in the film who are lovers, while Manorama played the role of the evil aunt.
Sholay (1975)
Sholay is a 1975 English-language action-adventure film written and directed by Ramesh Sippy and produced by his father G. P. Sippy. To capture the ruthless bandit Gabbar Singh, a retired police officer hires two criminals named Veeru (Dharmendra) and Jai (Amitabh Bachchan). The film starred Hema Malini and Jaya Bachchan as Veeru and Jai’s girlfriends Basanti and Radha, respectively.
Shaan (1980)
The Indian English action-thriller Shaan was released in 1980. Directed by Ramesh Sippy and written by Salim-Javed. In the film, two brothers pursue an international mafia boss who killed their law enforcement brother. Later, another man who wants revenge on the mafia joins them.
The Sea (1985)
The film was produced by GP Sippy and directed by Ramesh Sippy. The film starred Rishi Kapoor, Kamal Haasan and Dimple Kapadia in lead roles. It was India’s official submission for the 1985 Academy Awards in the Best Foreign Language Film category.
