In Bihar’s Nalanda district, despite repeated instructions from the education department, many private school operators were not following the rules and regulations. Now the department has decided to cancel the registration of 99 such recognized private schools, which have not yet started Aadhaar based enrollment entry.
Strictness of Education Department: Why was this decision taken?
The education department had issued instructions several times that all private schools should upload the data of their students on the e-Shikshakosh portal. But these schools neither followed the instructions nor uploaded the data within the stipulated time limit. Due to this, the education department has written a letter to the Director of Primary Education on Friday to cancel the U-Dias code and registration of these schools.
Children’s future at risk: The impact of derecognition
After the cancellation of recognition, the future of the children studying in these schools may be uncertain. Their studies will be affected due to the closure of the school and they will have to take admission in new schools. This situation is a matter of concern for the children and their parents.
Were these schools running as per the standards?
District Education Officer Raj Kumar said that not even a single student has been admitted in these private schools. In such a situation, the question arises whether these schools were being run as per the standards of the Education Department or not. Now a detailed investigation will be done so that the situation can be clarified.
Total number of private schools in Nalanda
A total of 639 registered private schools are operating in Nalanda district. Out of these, 99 private schools have not uploaded the data of even a single student yet. The education department has instructed the school principals several times and also sent reminders from time to time, but the instructions were not followed.
Education Department’s order and further action
Orders issued: The education department issued orders several times, but the schools ignored them. Deadline: The deadline to upload the data was given till Wednesday this week. Action started: The process of cancelling registration has now been started if the instructions are not followed.
Advice for parents
Parents should find out the status of their children’s school. If their school is also included in this list, then they should make alternative arrangements for their children in time.
