The Railway Ministry has recently announced the time table of the country’s first Vande Metro train. This metro train will run between Bhuj and Ahmedabad in Gujarat. This train is going to be launched in the state of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, which will provide a new and faster service for the passengers.
1. Where will the first Vande Metro run?
The first Vande Metro train will operate between Bhuj and Ahmedabad in Gujarat. This train will stop at stations like Anjar, Gandhidham, Bhachau, Samakhiali, Halvad, Dhrangadhra, Viramgam, Chandlodia and Sabarmati on the way. The train will also stop at the same stations on its return.
2. Vande Metro Time Table
The Vande Metro train will depart from Bhuj every day (6 days a week) at 5:05 am and reach Ahmedabad at 10:50 am. On the return journey, the train will depart from Ahmedabad at 5:30 pm and reach Bhuj at 11:10 pm. The halt time of the train at each station will be around 2 minutes and the train will stop at a total of 9 stations.
3. What will the fare be like?
The fare of the Vande Metro train has been fixed keeping in mind the convenience of passengers. The minimum fare will be Rs 30, and if you travel up to 50 km, you will have to pay Rs 60 plus GST. This means that the cost of traveling per kilometer will start from Rs 1.20.
4. Will the MST card be valid?
Monthly ticket (MST) facility will also be available in Vande Metro, but it will be different from the MST of normal mail or express train. In this you will have to take weekly, fortnightly or monthly season ticket, and for this you will have to pay the fare for 7 days, 15 days and 20 days respectively.
5. Days of operation
Vande Metro train will run 6 days a week. The train from Bhuj will not run on Sunday, while the train from Ahmedabad will not run on Saturday. On the remaining days, the train will run as per its regular timetable.
6. Where is the rack of Vande Metro made?
The first rake of Vande Metro has been built at the Integral Coach Factory (ICF) in Chennai. This train is fully air conditioned and has modern facilities like automatic doors.
7. Speed and features of Vande Metro
The Vande Metro train has been designed for a speed of 200 kmph, but it will run at a speed of 100 to 150 kmph on the route. This train will be mainly beneficial for those who travel daily to nearby big cities for jobs. This train has been designed for a comfortable journey for the passengers.
