New Delhi. The 100 days of the third term of the government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi have been completed, and on this occasion, the campaign to bring the achievements of the government before the public is going on in full swing. In this series, Prime Minister Narendra Modi highlighted the achievements of the first 100 days and future plans of the government in the fourth edition of the ‘Global Renewable Energy Investor Meet and Exhibition’ held in Gandhinagar, Gujarat.
100 days of focus, rapid progress and green energy
In his address, Prime Minister Modi said that his government has tried to focus on every necessary sector and factor for the rapid progress of the country. He said, “Our priorities, speed and scale are clearly visible in the first 100 days. India’s diversity, capacity and performance are suitable for global application.” The government has taken many big decisions related to green and renewable energy. Modi informed that the country is working rapidly towards the production of 31 thousand megawatt hydropower, for which Rs 12 thousand crore has been approved.
The foundation for the next 1000 years
Prime Minister Modi emphasized that his government is not only focused on achieving the current goals but is also laying the foundation for the next 1000 years for India’s long-term growth and sustainability. He said that “For us, a green future and net zero emissions are not mere slogans, but the need of the country, which we are committed to fulfill.” A plan to develop Ayodhya and 16 other cities as ‘Solar City’ was also announced. Along with this, he mentioned the resolve of 140 crore Indians to make India the third largest economy in the world.
Investment of 12 thousand crores on green energy
The Prime Minister said that the government is paying special attention to the expansion of green energy. Along with hydropower, the demand for renewable energy is also increasing. For this, a new policy is being prepared so that the supply of green energy can be increased in the country and it can also be exported to other parts of the world.

Energy Minister announces huge investment in green projects
Union Minister for New and Renewable Energy Prahlad Joshi urged investors to invest in India on this occasion. He said that banks and financial institutions have committed to finance Rs 32.45 lakh crore for green projects. Joshi said that India aims to achieve 500 GW capacity by 2030, for which there has been huge support from various states, union territories, developers, manufacturers and financial institutions. Developers have committed to add 570 GW of additional capacity, while promises have also been made to increase production capacity in solar modules, solar cells, wind turbines, and electrolysers.
