A passenger has been arrested by Customs officials at Delhi International Airport on charges of smuggling. In this case, it has been learned that the accused had come from Dubai flight and cocaine worth Rs 24.90 crore has been recovered from him.
More than 1 crore worth of cocaine recovered from the accused
Indira Gandhi International Airport officials have said that 1660 grams of cocaine worth Rs 24.90 crore has been recovered from the accused. Delhi Customer Officer has informed through Twitter that the accused had come from Dubai.
The accused has been arrested under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act (NDPS) Act, 1985. This is not the first time a passenger has been arrested on charges of smuggling. Earlier too, many times the accused try to smuggle gold etc. and are arrested. Security officers at the airport are equipped with new technology and easily arrest the accused.
