New Delhi. Aam Aadmi Party convenor Arvind Kejriwal has resigned from the post of Delhi CM. Along with this, he has to vacate the CM residence as per the rules. Arvind Kejriwal has 15 days to vacate the CM residence. However, if the Housing Department of Delhi Government wants, it can extend this period with the approval of the Lieutenant Governor. At present, Aam Aadmi Party MP Sanjay Singh has claimed that Arvind Kejriwal will vacate the CM residence of Delhi within a week. Sanjay Singh’s claim may become a reality, but Arvind Kejriwal may have to face difficulties in the future on the issue of expensive renovation in the CM residence of Delhi.
Actually, Arvind Kejriwal had got Delhi CM’s residence renovated. Crores of rupees were spent in this renovation. Which was revealed by the media. Only after this, BJP had claimed that Arvind Kejriwal spent 45 crores on the renovation of Delhi CM’s residence. BJP had also alleged that Arvind Kejriwal had installed curtains worth Rs. 8-8 lakhs in the CM residence. BJP had also accused him of installing marble worth Rs. 1.15 crores and pre-fabricated woodwork worth Rs. 4 crores. Arvind Kejriwal was also accused of installing toilet seats and automatic doors worth several lakhs. At the same time, Congress had alleged that not 45 crores but 171 crores were spent on the renovation of Delhi CM’s residence.
A complaint was made to the Lieutenant Governor of Delhi regarding the renovation done by Arvind Kejriwal in the CM residence of Delhi and the expenditure incurred in it. The Lieutenant Governor wrote to the CBI to investigate the complaint. In this case, the CBI has registered a preliminary enquiry i.e. PE and has taken documents related to the expenditure incurred on the renovation of the CM residence from the Delhi government. In such a situation, if the CBI finds any irregularities in the investigation, then it can create problems for Arvind Kejriwal. Arvind Kejriwal is already an accused in the alleged liquor scam case and has recently been released from Tihar Jail on bail.
