There is news of arrest of Indian immigrants working illegally in Bahrain. Public prosecution informed in its statement that four Indian immigrants have been arrested on charges of fishing through boat.
Phishing was being done using illegal equipment
According to information received from media reports, as soon as the Coast Guard came to know about this, they immediately reached the spot and started taking action. The officer said that the accused migrants were using “kofa” to catch fish. The use of “kofa” is banned, which means that if anyone uses this device to catch fish, it will be illegal.
40 kg shrimp recovered
Officials informed that 40 kg shrimp has been recovered from the accused. The accused have accepted their mistake in this case. Police is searching for the remaining accused.
safety equipment was not used
It has been informed by the officials that the accused in this case did not use safety equipment. During fishing, there should be a first aid kit, life jacket and fire extinguisher, which they did not have.
