A government school in MP is in the headlines all over the world on the basis of best innovation. Ratlam’s CM Rise Vinoba School has made it to the finals of the World’s Best School Prizes 2024. Apart from CM Rise School, Delhi’s Ryan International School (Vasant Kunj) is also in the finals. To win the prize, both these schools will compete with the leading schools of other countries of the world. This award has been started by London-based ‘T4 Education’ in collaboration with Accenture, American Express and Lemon Foundation. In this, the prize money of US $ 50,000 (about Rs 41 lakh) is shared with the winners.
The organization gives awards in 5 categories like Community Collaboration, Environmental Action, Innovation, Overcoming Adversity, For Supporting Healthy Lives etc.
Ryan International School created innovative projects like ‘hydroponics’ and biogas plants which made it a contender to win the World’s Best School award in the Environmental Action category for its environmental action to tackle water scarcity and pollution. CM RISE School Vinoba is also a Madhyamik Vidyalaya which is a finalist in the Innovation category for its achievements in the field of public education. CM RISE schools were originally set up for girls from tribal communities living in urban slums who were hesitant to pursue formal education.
According to the report, CM Rise School prepared a plan for Cycle of Growth Mechanism. In this, a diary of every student of the school was prepared and one-to-one feedback was taken. Classroom was monitored. Student-teacher diaries were made. Which subject was taught when, how much course was taught, all this was recorded. Online discussions and practice were done at international level. Joyful learning was provided.
