Mahendra Munjapara (English: Mahendra Munjapara, born – 21 September 1968) is a politician of Bharatiya Janata Party. After the expansion and reshuffle in the cabinet of Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 7 July 2021, he has been made ‘Minister of State in the Ministry of Women and Child Development’ and ‘Minister of AYUSH’.
Mahendra Munjapara has been elected MP for the first time from Surendranagar Lok Sabha seat. Mahendra Munjapara, a doctor by profession, belongs to the Koli community of Saurashtra. Born in Surendranagar in 1968, Mahendra Munjapara has an MD degree from NHL Medical College, Ahmedabad. He has been working as a cardiologist and professor for three decades. Dr. Mahendra Munjapara, who gives medicine for two rupees, is a social worker at heart. He has served eight lakh patients through medical camps.
