Jodhpur, Sep 21 (IANS) Rajasthan Medical Minister Gajendra Singh Khinvsar spoke to the media at the airport during his visit to Jodhpur. During this, he expressed concern over the death of RAS officer Priyanka Bishnoi in the hospital.
He said that the victim’s side should have lodged an FIR in this case, so that the facts could be revealed during the investigation. Khinvsar said that the incident is very unfortunate and the allegations made by the family will be seriously investigated. He said that he will go to Jaipur and get the report of the state level committee, in which various contradictions have been found.
The Health Minister also mentioned the problems being faced due to lack of manpower in hospitals. He said that the state government is trying to improve the system in hospitals, but at present lack of manpower and equipment is creating problems.
Khinvsar also said that he has given a notice to the collector today regarding the shortage of cancer medicines so that patients can get the necessary treatment. He said that steps are being taken to improve the situation in hospitals and the government is committed to improve the necessary system soon.
When he was questioned about overcrowding in hospitals and the health of patients, he said that sometimes patients have to be sent out of the hospital in case of emergency. Referring to his visit, he said that he has made surprise visits twice to see the reality of hospitals. Khinvsar expressed hope that soon the arrangements will improve and patients will get better services.
