In the midst of Haryana assembly elections, the alleged displeasure of Congress MP and veteran leader Kumari Selja is being discussed everywhere. BSP and BJP have even offered her to join the party. There was also a discussion that she is angry because she was made the chief ministerial face and did not get the assembly ticket. Meanwhile, she has clearly said about her desire for the post of Chief Minister that she absolutely desires it. It cannot be said that she does not desire the post of Chief Minister.
In Aaj Tak’s program, Kumari Selja said, not giving ticket in elections is the decision of the party. On the claim for the post of CM, she said, anyone can stake claim. There is also a seniority level. I said those things and had to suffer the consequences of that. Kumari Selja said, some people may be afraid of my words. Kumari Selja said, we have a journey, there are some people who are working with us. It took us three generations to reach here. But all this is not just for oneself. It is for the entire community and there can be a desire to bring a vision in Haryana. I had the desire and that desire is there too. I will not say right now that I do not have the desire.
She said, I have said it time and again that whatever political path we choose, a lot of people join us in it. Everyone has to be taken along. Shailaja’s fight is not only for herself but for the weaker sections. It is not only about the community in which I was born but it should also be about women.
What did Shailja say on the offers of BJP and BSP?
On BJP and ML Khattar’s offer to join BJP, she said, I have had a much longer political career than the comments being made by BJP leaders today. So I don’t need any advice. I know how to choose my own path. Whether it is BJP or any other party, only misconceptions are being spread about me. Shailja said that she has Congress blood in her veins. Just like my father came wrapped in the tricolour, Shailja will also go wrapped in the tricolour.
