Rewari, September 23 (IANS). There was a stir in the Congress in the midst of Haryana assembly elections when it was said that senior Congress leader and MP Kumari Selja is going to join BJP. Former Chief Minister Manohar Lal can make her join BJP.
Senior BJP leader Anil Vij had said, if Manohar Lal is saying this, then there must be something. Will Kumari Selja really leave Congress and join BJP? Will Congress suffer a major setback in Haryana before the assembly elections?
Amidst all these speculations, former minister and Congress leader Captain Ajay Yadav has said that everyone is angry with the party. I was angry when the party did not give me a ticket. But I did not leave the party. Kumari Selja has Congress blood in her and we also have Congress blood in us.
He said that former Chief Minister Manohar Lal is spreading such false rumours without any reason. In response to the question that BJP has made an offer to Kumari Shailja, Captain Ajay Yadav said that the talk of Shailja getting an offer from BJP is baseless and a rumour. One keeps getting offers from parties, I too got an offer in 2014. An offer was also given in the Rajya Sabha elections.
But I did not leave the party. Shailja has made it clear in one of her statements that she will remain with the Congress till her last breath. I can only say that Kumari Shailja will remain in the Congress party. She is my younger sister and a big leader of the state. We will work to strengthen the party by staying in the party.
