Important Heart Test
Check blood pressure – A patient with high blood pressure has an increased risk of heart related diseases. Who may have problems like stroke, angina and irregular heart beat. Therefore, keep getting your BP checked from time to time. This reveals the pressure and flow of blood in the arteries. You can easily check blood pressure at home with a BP monitoring machine.
Lipid test – It is also known as cholesterol level test, which is often done to measure the amount of fat present in the blood. By doing this test, bad cholesterol (LDL) and good cholesterol (HDL) are known. Due to increase in bad cholesterol in the body, it starts forming plaque in the arteries, due to which the risk of heart related diseases including heart attack increases significantly.
Electrocardiogram (ECG or EKG) – People know it as ECG. This is an important test which checks the electrical activities of your heart. Through this test, irregular heartbeat, increased heart beat or other heart-related seriousness can be detected. By getting this test done, you can know about heart related problems in time and get them treated.
Stress Test- This test tells the condition of your heart health when you are in any kind of stress situation. During this, individuals are asked to run on a treadmill and the doctor checks their heartbeat. Through this test, in case of any hidden heart related condition, the pressure is checked whether it is having any negative effect on the heart.
