New Delhi. Once again people of two communities came face to face in Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh. In fact, some time ago, Namaz was offered in a closed house, after which people of the Hindu community protested against it by alleging that the house was converted into a mosque. The administration had sealed that house. Yesterday, when people gathered to offer Namaz in the mosque located in Kyoladiya police station area, some mischievous elements demolished the wall of the sealed house and misbehaved with two Home Guard soldiers deployed for its security. After this, the crowd of people increased and the matter reached a standstill between the two communities.
As soon as information about the dispute was received, police and administration officials reached the spot. Police from three police stations including station in-charge Parameshwari, SDM Ajay Kumar Upadhyay, Tehsildar Dushyant Pratap, CO Harsh Modi, Kotwal Rajkumar Sharma, Inspector Parameshwari reached the spot and tried to control the situation. After the tension increased, Bareilly SP Dehat Mukesh Chandra Mishra himself reached there and tried to end the dispute by pacifying the people. After a long time, people calmed down after Manauvwal talked about action against the accused by the police.
Police have detained 7 people in this case while 3 other criminals have been identified and are being searched. There is still a situation of tension in Keladandi village of Kyoladiya police station area after the incident. Earlier, amid the uproar, BJP MLA AP Arya had also reached there and accused the police of unilateral action. Along with this, BJP MLAs sat there to protest with their supporters. After persuasion by the police and administration officials, the BJP MLAs left the dharna.
