New Delhi. Dadasaheb Phalke Award, the most prestigious award given for excellent work in the film industry, has been announced. This year this award will be given to the legendary actor of Hindi cinema, Mithun Chakraborty. Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnav herself has given this information by tweeting. Mithun Chakraborty will be honored with the Dadasaheb Phalke Award at the 70th National Film Awards ceremony on October 8, 2024.

Let us tell you that Mithun Chakraborty is one of the legendary superstars of Hindi cinema. He has worked not only in Hindi but also in Tamil and Bengali films. Mithun Chakraborty has so far worked in a total of 350 films including Hindi, Bengali and Tamil films. Mithun started his career with the film “Mrigaya” in 1976.
Through his strong acting in this film, Mithun also won the National Film Award for Best Actor. After this he never looked back and went on touching the heights of fame. In the year 1982, Mithun’s film “Disco Dancer” was released, which overnight made Mithun reach the pinnacle of success which used to be a dream to reach. This film created a stir and became the first film in the actor’s career which did a business of Rs 100 crore at that time. After this film, Mithun Chakraborty emerged as the new superstar of the industry.
