New Delhi. The troubles of Karnataka CM M. Siddaramaiah, who is already in trouble in the land scam case related to Mysore Urban Development Authority (MUDA), are increasing day by day. Now the Enforcement Directorate (ED) has registered an FIR against Siddaramaiah under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA). ED has taken this action taking cognizance of the FIR lodged by the Lokayukta Court. Earlier last week, the Karnataka High Court had rejected Siddaramaiah’s plea in which he had challenged the Governor’s order to investigate him and his family. After this, the MP-MLA court had ordered to register an FIR against the CM and his family.
In this case, Siddaramaiah is accused of getting 14 housing sites given to his wife by the Mysore Urban Development Authority (MUDA) in 2011, bypassing the rules. The names of CM Siddaramaiah and his family members are also included in the FIR registered by the Lokayukta Court. Siddaramaiah has been named as the main accused in this FIR. His wife Parvati and another relative Mallikarjun Swamy have also been made accused. BJP is continuously raising this issue and demanding the resignation of CM Siddaramaiah.
