The holy festival of Navratri will start from 3rd October. Along with worshiping different forms of the Goddess, people also keep fast. Moving away from religious importance, you can get many benefits by observing a fast. By fasting, the body’s metabolism improves. It is also important for digestion. However, fasting is not right for everyone. During Navratri fast, some people stay for nine days only by drinking water. Whereas some eat fruits only once a day. Due to which there may be weakness. At the same time, eating fried food during fasting can also lead to weight gain. In such a situation, some fitness tips may be useful to you.

How to keep yourself fit during Navratri fast (Fitness Tips For Navratri)

Break the fast on time – Although the fast food is satvik, but this food is cooked in ghee. There are more fried things in the fasting food. In such a situation, it is good to break the fast at the right time so that the food gets digested on time and there is no problem of any kind.

It is best to drink coconut water- Coconut water contains many types of nutrients and it also helps in removing weakness. If you do not eat anything the whole day during the fast, then drink coconut water after worship in the morning. You can drink two coconut water throughout the day.

Try to eat light – It is not necessary that eating fruit only means eating things made from buckwheat flour. If you want, you can eat things made from sago, sama rice and rajgira.

Avoid eating fried food – You should avoid eating fried food during Navratri fast. Because you remain on an empty stomach for a long time and then if you eat fried food, it may cause heartburn or acidity problem. It is better to avoid it.

Avoid tea and coffee – The amount of tea and coffee consumed increases during fasting. If you also drink too much tea or coffee during fasting, then avoid it because if you drink tea on an empty stomach for a long time, it can cause gas problems and can also lead to dehydration.

Obesity will not increase in this way – When you remain hungry throughout the day and then eat a lot of food before the end of the day, it can increase obesity. If you want to avoid this during fasting then balance your day. Remove fried foods from your diet and choose healthy options.

You will remain fit by eating fruits- Eat seasonal fruits to maintain fitness during the fast. You can eat these in between throughout the day. This will control hunger and also provide energy.

Eat dry fruits- To stay fit, it is important to take care of nutrition. In such a situation, dry fruits can be eaten. Keep in mind that dry fruits are hot in nature, hence it is best to eat them after soaking them.
