On the allegations of his and his family’s involvement in the Muda scam and his wife Parvati’s letter of return of the plot, Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah clarified that the land was gifted to him by his wife’s brother. Muda acquired this land and an alternative site was sought from them. Although my wife had not asked for Vijayanagar, but Muda gave her land in Vijayanagar. Now big politics is being done regarding this matter. Siddaramaiah said, let BJP and its ally JDS do whatever they want in this matter. My wife thought that this land issue has become a matter of politics, so she wrote a letter to return the land as she does not want any dispute.
On former Karnataka Chief Minister and BJP leader BS Yediyurappa, Siddaramaiah said that his case is different. Yediyurappa denotified the land and I am not involved in it. I will fight a legal battle against it. Let us tell you that the Governor of Karnataka had ordered an investigation against the CM and his family in the Muda land scam case. CM Siddaramaiah challenged the Governor’s order in the High Court, but the High Court upheld the Governor’s order and ordered a Lokayukta inquiry. After this, on the orders of the Lokayukta Court, an FIR was registered against Siddaramaiah, his wife and his wife’s brother.
