How to sow barley and sorghum in Navratri
During Navratri, the Kalash is set up in front of the Mother Goddess and the seeds are sown. Sowing barley or barley is considered auspicious and is also considered a symbol of happiness and prosperity in the house. The longer and greener the grass grows, the more happiness comes to the house. Although many people sow barley, it neither grows tall nor grows well. Method of sowing barley and sorghum in Navratri
First of all, buy barley from a shop and take an earthen pot to sow the barley. Wash the earthen pot and any soil can be used in it.
Now soak the barley in water at night a day before sowing it. By doing this, sprouts emerge quickly and barley grows more densely. In the morning, take out the seeds of barley which have come above the water and throw them away. These are bad barley that will not sprout.
Now fill the pot in which barley is to be sown with soil and save some soil to pour it on top. Now spread the soaked barley and put it all over. Spread a light layer of dry soil on top. You don’t have to put too much soil on top. Just enough so that most of the barley is covered with soil.
Take a water spray bottle and lightly spray water on the soil until it becomes wet. Keep in mind that if you are pouring water without spray, you have to sprinkle water all over. Avoid pouring too much water at one place at one time.
Now cover the vessel containing barley with a plate and keep it aside. When the top soil starts drying, spray water. Do not add too much water to barley. You have to keep the vessel containing barley covered until sprouts appear.
When the sprouts grow, open the vessel containing barley. Now keep spraying water in the morning and evening. With this, barley plants will start growing well. You have to spray water only when the soil dries. In this way, the grass will become completely green and grow tall within 5-6 days.
