Symptoms of Vitamin D3 deficiency

Pain in waist, muscles or bones – Due to deficiency of Vitamin D2 and D3, bones start becoming weak. Bones do not get calcium due to which pain is felt in joints, back or muscles.
Why does Vitamin D3 deficiency occur?

If there is any problem in kidney function then there may be deficiency of Vitamin D3 in the body. Because the kidneys produce a hormone called calciterol which helps the bones to absorb calcium from the blood. But in case of kidney problem, Vitamin D is not able to do this.

Apart from sunlight, there are different sources of Vitamin D3 and Vitamin D2. Vitamin D3 is obtained from animals. Which includes fish, fish oil, egg yolk, butter and dietary supplements. Whereas Vitamin D2 is available from plant based foods like mushrooms and fortified foods.
