P. Parameswaran (English: P. Parameswaran, born- October 3, 1927; death- February 9, 2020) was the former vice-president of Jan Sangh. He was a veteran writer, poet, researcher and famous Sangh thinker. He was awarded the Padma Vibhushan for his contribution to literature on March 20, 2018. People of Sangh Parivar used to call him ‘Parmeshwar Ji’.
In 2015, P. Parameswaran was honored with the ‘Gandhi Peace Prize’. Between 1967 and 1971, P. Parameswaran was the Secretary of the Bharatiya Jana Sangh. He was the Vice President between 1971 and 1977. He was also the Director of Deendayal Research Institute between 1977 and 1982. P. Parameswaran had joined the Sangh during his student days. He was also jailed for 16 months for All India Satyagraha during the days of Emergency. He founded ‘Bharatiya Vichar Kendram’ in 1982 to promote nationalism among Keralites. P. Parameswaran has written many books about Indian philosophy and Indian society. He was the editor of magazines named ‘Kesari’ and ‘Manthan’. He was the editor of magazines named ‘Yuva Bharati’ and ‘Vivekananda Kendra Patrika’.
