Indian Institute of Information Technology (TripleIT) is preparing to restart the Master of Science (MS) course which was closed for ten years in Prayagraj. This course will be named Master in Cyber Law and Information Security. Preparations are on to run this course as per the National Education Policy (NEP 2020). A proposal will be placed in the Senate meeting soon to conduct the course from the new session. This course was run in the institute earlier also. Then there were 75 seats in the two-year PG course but due to some reasons, in 2014, TripleIT stopped conducting MS. Since then, admission in Master of Science has not been taken till now. That means, after ten years, there are preparations for admission again in the academic session 2025-26.
Director of TripleIT Prof. Sharad Mukul Sutavane said that there was a demand from all the students to start a two-year MS program. Due to this, efforts to start running the course again from the new session have been expedited. It will soon be placed in the Senate for approval. After getting approval from the Senate, admission will be taken from the academic session 2025-26.
Demand was raised in the conference to restart
Many Master of Science (MS) alumni attending the Institute’s Global Alumni Conference underlined the usefulness of the course. Told that after doing this course, many former students are getting jobs in renowned companies of India and abroad on good packages. Pura students put pressure on the institute to restart MS. On this, Director Prof. Mukul Sharad Sutavane gave assurance for the re-conduct of the course and has started preparations.
