Entertainment News Desk – Today is the birthday of Bollywood actor Adil Hussain. Today he has turned 62 years old. He was born in Goalpara, Assam. His father was a teacher and he had 7 siblings. Adil used to act since his school days. When he was 18, he ran away from home to study philosophy at a college in Guwahati. He also used to do acting and stand up comedy in college. He also used to imitate many Bollywood actors. He worked as a stand up comedian for about 6 years.
Adil Hussain later became involved in mobile theater and Assamese cinema. After this, he studied from the National School of Drama, Delhi in the year 1990. She later received a Charles Wallace Trust Scholarship with the help of which she studied at the Drama Studio London. During and after his studies, he worked in art cinema as well as Bollywood films. He has also worked in many Hollywood films. Not only this, he has also worked in English, Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Tamil, Marathi, Malayalam, Norwegian and French films. Adil Hussain made his debut in Bengali films in the year 2004 with the Bengali film ‘Iti Srikant’. Soha Ali Khan was also with him in this film. Adil played the lead role in this.
He also worked in the TV serial Jasoos Vijay in the year 2002. He got a very small role in Vishal Bhardwaj’s film ‘Kaminey’, released in 2009. He got recognition in Bollywood with the film ‘Ishqiya’ released in 2010. After this, he got a big role in Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan starrer ‘Agent Vinod’, released in 2012. In the year 2012 itself, he got a chance to work in ‘Life of Pi’. This year he was seen in Sridevi starrer ‘English-Vinglish’. After this Adil never looked back.
In the year 2017, he received National Awards for two films. These awards were in the feature film category. This National Award was received for Hindi film ‘Mukti Bhawan’ and Assamese film ‘Maj Rati Keteki’. After this Adil Hussain has gained more popularity than before. He was last seen in Akshay Kumar and Vaani Kapoor starrer ‘Bellbottom’. His dialogues in the film were liked a lot.
