Madhumita Bisht was born on October 5, 1964 in the Indian state of West Bengal. She became the sub-junior badminton champion in the year 1977 and has won the Indian National Women’s Singles Badminton title eight times in her career.
career
Madhumita won the bronze medal in the Asian Games in 1982 and was a part of the team that won the bronze medal in the Asian Games held in 1998. Madhumita Bisht represented India in the Barcelona Olympics in 1992 and has also represented India in the World Cup and Uber Cup tournaments. In the year 2002, he retired from the game and worked as a government observer for his Indian Railways and as the head coach and also served at the Sports Authority of India Badminton Academy.
