Two people were murdered at the railway station in Nagpur, Maharashtra on Monday. Apart from this, three people are injured. Both these murders were committed by a mentally disturbed person who had lost control on the spot. He attacked the people standing at the railway station there, in which two people were killed and three others were injured. The condition of two of these three injured is critical. This incident happened in the early hours of Monday. About 7 people were sleeping on platform number 6. There was time for these people’s train to arrive. In such a situation, these people started sleeping on the platform itself.
Meanwhile, a mentally disturbed person attacked these people with a concrete slab. These slabs are used on railway tracks. That person wanted to kill these people by crushing them, but somehow they were saved. Nevertheless, two people died due to serious injuries. The GRP patrolling team present at the spot ran after hearing the sounds and the injured people were immediately sent to the hospital. However the attacker fled from the spot. The deceased have been identified as 40-year-old Ganesh Kumar and another unidentified person.
Ganesh Kumar was a resident of Tamil Nadu. Apart from this, three other seriously injured people are undergoing treatment at the government Mayo Hospital. The attacker has been identified as Jairam Ramavatar Kevat. He had escaped, but the railway staff finally caught him. Police have registered a case of murder against him and further investigation is underway. Security has been increased at Nagpur Central Station.
