A painful road accident has occurred in Banaskantha, Gujarat. Here a bus filled with devotees overturned near Trishulia Ghat, Ambaji near Danta, in which 3 people died. More than 25 people have been injured in this accident. The victims of the accident were returning after visiting the famous Ambaji temple here on the occasion of Navratri. Meanwhile, a bus filled with devotees lost control and overturned near Trishulia Ghat. The bus narrowly escaped falling into the ditch otherwise a worse accident could have happened.
As soon as information about the accident was received, police and administrative officials reached the spot. The injured have been admitted to Civil Hospital, Danta. The devotees who suffered serious injuries have been referred to Palanpur Hospital from Civil. The bodies have been sent for post-mortem. Superintendent of Police Akshay Raj had earlier said that four passengers had been killed, but according to later revised figures the death toll was three. “At present the number of dead passengers is said to be three,” he said.
Condition of 9 passengers is critical, 25 others have minor injuries.
The SP said that nine passengers were seriously injured, while 25 others suffered minor injuries. The injured were taken to the hospital for treatment. The bus was going to Kathlal in Kheda district with about 50 pilgrims and the passengers were returning after offering prayers at Ambaji temple. An official of Danta police station said that while returning from Ambaji, the bus was on a hilly road when the driver lost control of the vehicle at Trishulia Ghat in Danta taluka, due to which the bus overturned.
