Hamas Announced Long Struggle Against Israel: Hamas (Hamas) announced that it is ready for a long conflict against Israel in the Gaza Strip.
“We decide to continue a long and painful war against Israel,” Abu Ubaida, a spokesman for the al-Qassam Brigades, the Palestinian group’s military wing, said in a video message.
Ubaida said this on Monday on the completion of one year of ‘7 October attack’. Let us tell you that on October 7 last year, Hamas had launched a major attack on Israel in which about 1200 people were killed while more than 250 were taken hostage. More than 100 hostages are believed to still be in Gaza.
“On all fronts of the battle and throughout Gaza, we killed hundreds of enemy soldiers, destroyed Israeli vehicles and refined our tactics,” Ubaida claimed, Xinhua news agency reported. He said that this struggle is against the ‘criminal enemy’.
Regarding the hostages, Ubaida said, “From day one we have ensured the safety of our captives, but Netanyahu’s ambitions prevented their return for a year.”
The spokesman warned that the fate of the hostages now depends on the decisions of the Israeli government. If the Israeli army advances, their situation may worsen.
After the October 7 attack last year, Israel declared war against Hamas and started military operations in the Gaza Strip under its control.
Israeli PM said…
Israel’s military operation has caused massive destruction in Gaza. Gaza-based health officials said on Monday that the number of Palestinians killed in Israeli strikes has risen to 41,909. Israel’s military operation still continues in Gaza.
Meanwhile, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said on Monday that his government will ‘complete the job’ and free the remaining hostages from Gaza.
Israeli PM said, “We will end the war when we achieve all our goals. These include – overthrowing the evil regime of Hamas, returning all hostages (both dead and alive), neutralizing any future threat to Israel from Gaza, returning our residents in the South and North safely to their homes. Is included.” Netanyahu said this at a special condolence meeting on the first anniversary of the October 7 attack.
