When will be the best time to observe Saptami fast – According to astrological calculations, Saptami Tithi will be from 12:14 pm on 09 October 2024 to 12:31 pm on 10 October. According to Pandit Astrologer Narendra Upadhyay, Saptami will prevail throughout the day on 9th and till noon on 10th October. Therefore, Saptami fast can be observed on 9th October as well as on 10th October.

Ashtami fast with Saptami is not valid – According to Pandit ji, Ashtami Tithi will start in the afternoon on 10th October. In Hindu religious texts, it is prohibited to observe Ashtami fast with Saptami, whereas Navami fast with Ashtami can be observed. Therefore, it would be best to observe Ashtami fast on 11th October only. This year Chaturthi Tithi is increasing and Navami is decreasing. Therefore Navami will also be celebrated on 11th October.
