Shailesh Lodha told that money was never the reason for his departure from the show, he left this serial showing light-hearted stories because of self-respect. Shailesh Lodha, during a conversation on a YouTube channel, said that producer Asit Modi had spoken to him in a very rude manner. After which he decided to leave the show. The actor told that the makers tried to settle the matter by distorting it, after which he made up his mind to leave the show.

Shailesh told that the makers of ‘Good Night India’ had invited him as a special guest and he had also gone to it as a poet. He told that then he got a call from Asit Modi, producer of ‘Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’. Shailesh said that he had gone to the show as a poet and not as a character in TMKOC. He told that Asit Modi spoke to him in a very rude tone which he could not tolerate. Asit said, “I couldn’t bear it. Because it was not the first time.”

Shailesh Lodha told that once again Asit Modi had scolded him on the set. Asit told that then Shailesh had told him that all the people working here are his servants.
