Politics News Desk!!! Kamalapati Tripathi (English: Kamalapati Tripathi, born: 3 September, 1905; died: 8 October, 1990, Varanasi) was an Indian politician, writer, journalist and freedom fighter. He was a senior Indian National Congress leader from the Varanasi constituency. He was a member of the Constituent Assembly. Kamalapati Tripathi also served as the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh and Union Minister of Railways.
Introduction
Kamlapati Tripathi was born on September 3, 1905. His father’s name was Pandit Narayanpati Tripathi. Originally he belonged to the Tripathi family of Pandi, popularly known as Pandi Tiwari. His ancestors settled in Varanasi during the time of Aurangzeb. He received the degree of Shastri from Kashi Vidyapeeth and D.Litt. Had done. He started his career as a journalist working for the daily Hindi newspaper ‘Aaj’ and later for ‘Sansar’. He was also the editor of two tabloids. He got married at the age of 19. He had 5 children, including three sons and two daughters. His eldest son was Lokpati Tripathi, who was a minister in Uttar Pradesh and his second son is Mayapati Tripathi, who founded a social organization by the name of All India Kisan Mazdoor Vahini. His youngest son is Mangalapathi Tripathi (also known as Shashipathi Tripathi).
political career
Kamalpati Tripathi was also a freedom fighter. He participated in the non-cooperation movement during 1921. He was also an active participant in the Civil Disobedience Movement, for which he also went to jail. In 1942, he went to Mumbai to participate in the movement when he was arrested and sent to jail for three years. Kamalpati Tripathi remained the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh from April 4, 1971 to June 12, 1973. He was a member of Rajya Sabha from 1973 to 1978, 1978 to 1980 and 1985 to 1986. He was a member of the Lok Sabha from 1980 to 1984.
Railway Minister
Kamalapati Tripathi was the Union Minister of Railways between 1975 and 1977 and also sometime before 1980. He presented the Railway Budget of India for 1975 to 1976, 1976 to 1977 and 1980 to 1981. Kamlapati Tripathi had started the diesel loco shed in Pune during his tenure. During his tenure he introduced the following trains-

literary service
Kamalapati Tripathi was a scholar and writer of Hindi and Sanskrit. He edited newspapers named ‘Aaj’ and ‘Sansar’. He was awarded the Mangala Prasad Award for a book related to Gandhi’s philosophy. Apart from being a good speaker on parliamentary subjects, he was also an influential speaker.
