The Maharashtra government also approved an ordinance to give constitutional status to the State Scheduled Castes Commission. This ordinance is set to be introduced in the next legislative session. There will be 27 sanctioned posts in this commission. At the same time, the government has decided to request the Central Government to increase the income limit of OBC non-creamy layer from Rs 8 lakh to Rs 15 lakh. OBC voters can be attracted by this step of the government. Discussions will be held with the Central Government to implement this change.
