According to the police, he has killed criminal Rajesh Aheria, carrying a reward of Rs 1.5 lakh, in the rural Kotwali area of Bulandshahr. Rajesh Aheria was a resident of Sihalinagar village of Bulandshahr district. The police was looking for Rajesh who had a reward of Rs 1.5 lakh in all the cases. According to the police, Rajesh Aheria was surrounded on the information of an informer in the early hours of Sunday. The police asked him to surrender. On this Rajesh started firing. According to the police, due to Rajesh’s firing, one bullet hit the constable and one bullet hit the Ahar police station in-charge.
According to the police, 50 cases including robbery, dacoity and gangsterism were registered against the slain criminal Rajesh Aheria. According to the police, Rajesh, carrying a reward of Rs 1.5 lakh, had created an atmosphere of fear in Bulandshahr district. With his killing, people in Bulandshahr district will now be able to rest in peace. Earlier on Saturday also in Bulandshahr district, police had succeeded in arresting criminals named Golu and Babulal after an encounter. Both of them were shot in the leg. Whereas, in Sirsaganj of Firozabad, police conducted an encounter and arrested the accused of bike theft. The police have recovered weapons from these three only. If seen this way, in the last 24 hours the police has achieved great success in encounters in UP.
Only after UP CM Yogi Adityanath came to power in 2017, he had publicly said that either the criminals should leave UP or they would be killed. Only after this the UP Police started rapid encounters. Hundreds of big criminals have been killed in encounters in the last 7 years in UP. At the same time, hundreds of miscreants have also surrendered to save their lives. Earlier, during the Samajwadi Party government in UP, the issue of poor law and order situation was raised. BJP had contested the elections by raising this issue and got the overwhelming majority of the people.
