Government provides security for VIPs
The Central Government has given ‘Z’ category security to Karnataka Governor Thawar Chand Gehlot. Central Reserve Police Force will be deployed for the security of this Z category. Before becoming Governor, Thawar Chand Gehlot was a Union Minister in the Modi government.
Security of Chirag Paswan also increased
The central government has increased the security of Cabinet Minister Chirag Paswan. He has been provided ‘Z category’ security. Paswan, 41, is the Union Minister for Food Processing Industries as well as the President of Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas). Chirag Paswan had described himself as Hanuman of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Given Z category security
Till now, a small team of central paramilitary force Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) was deployed under Chirag Paswan’s security. The Union Home Ministry has directed the unit of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) that handles the security of Very Important Persons (VIPs) to provide ‘Z category’ security to Paswan.
CRPF soldiers will be deployed for security
Sources said the new security team will cover the minister’s movement across the country. CRPF personnel are deployed in the security of many VIPs. These include Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Congress leaders Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra besides other Union Ministers and dignitaries.
22 to 24 soldiers in Z category will be included in the convoy.
Let us tell you that ‘Z Plus’ is considered the highest in VIP security cover classification. After this comes ‘Z’, ‘Y Plus’ and ‘X’ category security. 22 to 24 security personnel are deployed in Z category security, which includes sharpshooters and trained commandos.
