Lucknow, October 15 (IANS). Even though Congress has ignored Samajwadi Party in the Haryana Assembly elections, SP has shown great courage and said that it will maintain the alliance. Because SP may need Congress to create vote bank in the upcoming elections. For this reason this alliance has become a compulsion.
According to political experts, after Madhya Pradesh, in the Haryana assembly elections, the Congress party neither gave a seat to SP nor took any advice from them. However, SP was repeatedly claiming that without him, Congress would have to suffer losses in the elections. In the Haryana Assembly elections, Congress won 37 out of 90 assembly seats here. Congress lagged far behind the majority figure. It was claimed by the Haryana wing of SP that if the elections had been fought with the alliance, then perhaps there would have been a coalition government here today. But after Madhya Pradesh, this is the condition of Congress in Haryana due to neglect.
Strategists of India Alliance also say that if the opposition parties had fought together in the Haryana elections, perhaps the picture would have been different. Because if we look at the difference in 13 seats, it is less than five thousand.
Senior political analyst Virendra Singh Rawat says that after the Lok Sabha elections, all the parties included in the India Alliance complement each other. Where Congress cannot run without the support of those who are strong. A direct example of this has been seen in Haryana elections. To save the alliance, Congress will have to show big heart. Because if we talk about UP, the way Congress has got Muslim and Dalit votes in the Lok Sabha elections. The reason behind it is the alliance. People of SP and Congress know this. For this reason, after the results of Haryana, Akhilesh Yadav has said that the India alliance will remain intact and the socialists will take the responsibility of maintaining it.
Rawat says that both the parties need an alliance to save each other’s vote bank.
SP spokesperson Ashok Yadav says that when SP makes an alliance with anyone, it is ready to take four steps back. Even though Congress may not have given a seat in Haryana, SP had not fielded any candidate. Even during the Lok Sabha elections, there were many ups and downs in the alliance but there was no impact in the alliance. Both the parties need an alliance to save the Constitution and take the PDA movement forward. As our National President has already said, this will continue. As far as by-elections are concerned, SP is the largest opposition party here. It is a big responsibility. According to us, Congress will have to contest elections. Whatever formula the National President decides will be adopted. Because it is not a matter of seat but of victory.
Congress spokesperson Anshu Awasthi says that Congress always forms alliances keeping in mind the issues related to the public. Congress took the biggest initiative to form an alliance. The efforts made by Rahul Gandhi and Kharge ji paid off. The result of this is that BJP lost a seat like Ayodhya in the Lok Sabha elections. This is the strength of India alliance. Congress never disappoints regional parties. Let’s discuss with an open mind before the elections. There is good coordination between SP and Congress. Only BJP is spreading confusion. India Alliance will contest the by-elections together.
