New Delhi. The Madhya Pradesh High Court granted bail to a man on the condition that he salutes the Indian flag 21 times while shouting ‘Bharat Mata ki Jai’ twice a month. This person is accused of having recently raised slogans of ‘Pakistan Zindabad and Hindustan Murdabad’. The court allowed the accused person to be released on bail subject to the above condition and a personal bond of Rs 50,000. A single bench of Justice Dinesh Kumar Paliwal said that the accused can be released on bail after imposing certain conditions which will imbue him with a sense of responsibility and pride towards the country of India where he was born and where he is living.
According to the news of Bar and Bench, the judge said that as long as this case continues in the court, the accused will have to continuously register his presence before the police station Misrod, Bhopal between 10 am and 12 noon on the first and fourth Tuesday of every month. It will have to be done and the national flag hoisted there will have to be saluted 21 times by raising the slogan of Bharat Mata Ki Jai. The man was booked under section 153B (promoting enmity) of the Indian Penal Code, 1860, for raising pro-Pakistan slogans.
At the same time, in the court, in defense of the accused, his lawyer had said that he has not committed any crime and he has been falsely implicated. However, the lawyer admitted that the accused was seen raising pro-Pakistan slogans in a video. While the government lawyer strongly opposed the bail, arguing that the accused is a habitual offender and has around 13 cases already registered against him. In the video, the accused can be seen openly raising slogans against the country of India where he was born and brought up. The government counsel argued that if the accused is not happy in India, he can choose to live in a country of his choice for which he raised the slogan ‘Zindabad’.
