New Delhi. The Ministry of External Affairs has expressed concern over several recent threats to bomb Indian Airlines planes. Foreign Ministry spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal says, bomb threat to airlines is a very serious issue. Our concerned agencies, including the Ministry of Home Affairs, are looking into this matter closely. The government is keeping a close watch on this matter. Some FIRs have also been registered in this regard. The Foreign Ministry spokesperson said that efforts are being made to identify those who made the threat.

During the last 24 hours, nine planes have been threatened with bombs. In the last three days, 19 planes have received bomb threats. The government has decided to double the number of air marshals in aircraft flying from airports across the country. It has also been decided to deploy NSG Black Cat commandos in aircraft on sensitive national and international routes. The Union Home Ministry has sought a complete report in this regard from the Aviation Ministry.

While giving information regarding the recent visit of Foreign Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar to Pakistan, Randhir Jaiswal said that when the Foreign Minister was about to visit Islamabad, we had issued a statement that this special visit was on the occasion of the SCO Council. It is for the meeting of heads of government. Apart from this, the External Affairs Minister had only a bilateral meeting with the Head of State of Mongolia in Islamabad. Apart from this, no bilateral meeting of the Foreign Minister with the representative of any country was proposed. Discussing the Kashmir issue, Jaiswal said, you know our stand on this. Kashmir is ours and will remain ours. This is our statement and this is our stand. If someone says something today regarding Kashmir, it does not change anything.
