First of all, in the year 2017, CBI had registered an FIR against Satyendar Jain under the Prevention of Corruption Act. After this, a case of money laundering came to light. ED started investigation on the basis of CBI FIR. ED found that Jain’s companies were used to launder money through shell companies through Hawala. After this, ED registered a case under PMLA and arrested Satyendra Jain on 30 May 2022.
Satyendra Jain is also accused of illegal extortion during his stay in jail. At the same time, Satyendra Jain has also been involved in the matter of bypassing the jail rules by using his influence. Some time ago, Satyendar Jain’s videos went viral on social media. In these videos, Satyendra Jain was lying comfortably on the bed and getting his body massaged by another prisoner. In another video, Satyendra Jain was eating food brought from outside while a person was pressing his feet. After these videos surfaced, BJP had targeted Aam Aadmi Party. Earlier, on May 26, 2023, the Supreme Court had granted interim bail to Satyendar Jain due to health reasons. After this, on March 18, 2024, the Supreme Court rejected the regular bail plea of Satyendar Jain, after which he had to surrender, since then he has been in jail continuously.
