According to the Meteorological Department, the cyclone named Dana may enter the eastern coast of India, Bangladesh and Myanmar between October 24 and 26 and create havoc. According to the Meteorological Department, Dana is going to start taking its form from October 22. Due to the impact of Cyclone Dana, there is a possibility of very heavy rain in all the states from West Bengal to South India. Moderate to heavy rains are continuing in many states of South India including Karnataka. At the same time, the Meteorological Department has said that rain is going to continue in many states in the next 24 hours.
According to the Meteorological Department, there are chances of light rain in Uttarakhand, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, South Gujarat, Sikkim and all the states of North-East India. At the same time, moderate rain may also occur in Kerala, Karnataka, North Tamil Nadu and Rayalaseema. Light to moderate rain may occur at many places over Telangana, coastal areas of Andhra Pradesh, Goa and Konkan, central areas of Maharashtra, Marathwada, Odisha, and West Bengal. According to the Meteorological Department, there has been moderate to heavy rain in many states of South India on Friday. At the same time, it rained in the Ganga-adjacent areas of West Bengal, North-Eastern states, Bihar and some areas of Jharkhand.
According to the Meteorological Department, after October 25, cold will start increasing in the hilly states and plains of North India. The Meteorological Department has already told that this time people will have to face severe cold. This is because of the effect of La Nina. Due to La Nina effect, there was more than average rainfall in the monsoon season this year. Earlier, due to El Nino effect, less rainfall was seen in the last several years. In La Nina, the temperature of the sea surface also becomes similar to that of the land. Whereas, in El Nino the sea surface temperature remains lower than that of the land.
