Only priests can enter the sanctum sanctorum of the temple
Let us tell you that only priests can enter the sanctum sanctorum of Ujjain Mahakal temple. Apart from them, no one else is allowed to enter the sanctum sanctorum. This rule has been in force for the last one year and action is taken if it is violated. There is a rule that people can have darshan by maintaining a distance of 50 feet from the Shivalinga installed in the sanctum sanctorum of the Mahakal temple, but this is the fourth time in the last one month that this has happened and someone has violated this rule. The temple administration has become strict if the rules are not followed despite the order.
