Ranchi, October 20 (IANS). There is a rumor of a split in the Indi Alliance regarding the seat sharing formula in Jharkhand. Jharkhand RJD state president Sanjay Yadav spoke to IANS on this issue. Said that the situation will become clear after the meeting with Tejashwi Yadav.
The formula for seat sharing in Jharkhand assembly elections has been decided. Congress and JMM will contest elections on 70 seats. 11 seats have been left for RJD and Left parties. When RJD state president was asked to comment on this, he said, there is a meeting with Tejashwi Yadav at 3 o’clock. After the meeting, information regarding seat sharing will be given at 3.30 pm.
How many seats is RJD claiming in Jharkhand Assembly? On this the State President said, we are already claiming 22 seats. But, when you are in an alliance, any decision is taken collectively. If Congress and JMM want, they can announce their candidates on 81 seats. All options are open for us.
Let us tell you that on October 19, RJD national spokesperson and Rajya Sabha MP Manoj Jha had said that “we are hurt” by the way the alliance has been announced without the consent of key RJD leaders and in their absence. The party has kept all its options open regarding this.
Manoj Jha told the media after the meeting with the leaders of RJD’s state unit in Ranchi, “When the leader of opposition of Bihar Assembly and our leader Tejashwi Yadav, the national chief general secretary of the party Abdul Bari Siddiqui, the party’s Jharkhand in-charge Jaiprakash Yadav and the state The president is present in Ranchi, so the alliance has been announced unilaterally in his absence and this has hurt us. We were not included in the alliance process even though all our big leaders are present here.” He said all decisions are not taken like “Maggi two-minute noodles”.
The RJD leader said that our strength is very high in Jharkhand. We have identified 15 to 18 such seats in the state, where the support base is in favor of RJD and perhaps we will be able to single-handedly defeat the BJP on these seats.
