There is a tradition of lighting lamps at home and outside on Diwali. Although strings of lights are installed in every house, traditional lamps and candles are also lit. Nowadays, different types of candles have started coming in the market. Along with simple candles, scented candles, gel candles and now soya candles are also available in the market. But after some time of burning such a costly candle, it starts melting and getting destroyed. If you want your candles to burn for hours then you can take help of these tricks. Due to this, the candles will burn for a long time and will not melt quickly.

Simple candles, big or small, whatever size they are. Put them in the freezer two to four hours before burning them. By doing this the candle becomes more stable and keeps burning for a longer time. If the candle is very big and thick then keep it in the freezer for at least seven to eight hours. By doing this the candles will burn longer.

While lighting a candle, keep in mind that its thread should be short. If the thread is big then it will burn fast and the entire candle will melt and end within a short time. That’s why cut the thread short. Due to which medium light flame burns.

It’s better if there is no wind

If you are keeping candles in the house, then keep them in a place where there is no direct wind. The candle will burn faster and melt faster if exposed to direct wind.

When the candle melts a little, put a pinch of salt on it. Even by doing this the candle burns for a long time and does not melt easily.

Do not remove the outer layer of the candle

Many simple candles have a thin polythene layer on the outside. Don’t remove it. This layer prevents the candle from melting rapidly. And your candle can burn longer.
